How joining works
- Apply online. Choose Individual or Student and fill in a short form.
- Pay. By M-PESA or bank transfer.
- Get your confirmation. An email arrives with your receipt and your TPPA member number.
What happens next
M-PESA payments are confirmed straight away. Bank transfers are confirmed once the payment reaches TPPA's account. Either way, your receipt and member number arrive by email as soon as payment is confirmed.

How long does membership last?
The membership year runs from January to December. If you join after 1 September, your membership also covers the following year at no extra cost.
Who can join?
Anyone with an interest in privacy and data protection. Members come from law, compliance, IT and security, data science, public service, policy and academia.
Is there a student rate?
Yes. Full-time undergraduate students can join at the student rate.
